The second part is referred to as Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Big Bang Mission ( スーパードラゴンボールヒーローズ: ビッグバンミッション, Sūpā Doragon Bōru Hīrōzu: Biggu Ban Misshon ) which comprises the Universe Creation Saga and New Space-Time War Saga. The first part of the series is referred to as Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Universe Mission ( スーパードラゴンボール ヒーローズ: ユニバースミッション, Sūpā Doragon Bōru Hīrōzu: Yunibāsu Misshon ) and is composed of the Prison Planet Saga and Universal Conflict Saga. However, in summer of 2020, it was revealed that the anime will have a monthly upload schedule, despite the Covid-19 pandemic. Unlike previous series, it does not air on broadcast television and airs on a sporadic schedule. It was streamed live on the official website on the same date.
The anime was pre-screened for the first time in AEON LakeTown on July 1, 2018.
